CBD flowers come from cannabis strains selected for their high CBD and terpene content, with a THC level below 0.2%, in accordance with regulations. They are grown in temperate climates and are particularly rich in cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, and CBN, known for their beneficial properties, making them popular among users. There are various types of these hemp flowers, including the main strains Sativa and Indica, which are distinguished by their earthy or fruity flavors, and Hybrids that result from the crossing of two different strains. Depending on the production method, CBD flowers can have a higher concentration of terpenes.

- CBD, or cannabidiol, is a natural compound found in the hemp plant. It has no psychoactive effects and is recognised for its many therapeutic virtues.
Which CBD flowers to choose?
The choice of CBD flower depends on your personal preferences and the effects you are looking for.
- Classic CBD is the best-known and most widely used of the cannabinoids. It can be used for its relaxing, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, without the psychoactive effects associated with THC.
- CBN is chosen for its potential to promote restful sleep and help manage anxiety.
- H4CBD is a hydrogenated CBD with the potential to promote targeted physical relief.
Resin or CBD flower?
The choice between CBD resin and CBD flowers depends on your personal preferences and how you wish to consume CBD. CBD flowers, rich in cannabinoids and terpenes, offer a full sensory experience with a variety of aromas and flavours. They are often consumed by vaporisation, infusion or as a supplement in certain preparations.
On the other hand, CBD resin, which is concentrated in cannabinoids, may be a preferable option for those seeking a higher concentration of CBD. It is versatile and can be used in a variety of ways, including adding precise quantities to foods.
How do you infuse CBD flower?
Infusing your CBD flower is a simple process that releases the cannabinoids and terpenes for optimal consumption. To begin, preheat your oven to a low temperature of around 120-150 degrees Celsius. Then gently break up the CBD flower heads and spread them out on a baking tray lined with baking parchment. Leave them to cook for around 30-45 minutes to decarboxylate the cannabinoids.
After decarboxylation, heat your favourite oil (coconut oil, olive oil, etc.) in a saucepan over a low heat. Add the decarboxylated CBD flower heads to the hot oil and stir gently. Leave to infuse for at least 2 hours over a very low heat, taking care not to exceed the decomposition temperature of the CBD (around 160-180 degrees Celsius).
Once the infusion is complete, filter the mixture using a fine sieve or coffee filter to remove the plant matter. The resulting oil can be used in your favourite recipes, added to hot or cold drinks, or consumed directly.
It is crucial to respect the temperatures and decarboxylation times to maximise the benefits of CBD. Feel free to experiment and adjust the doses to suit your preferences. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask our team at Canna-House for advice.
